This is our story

We had spent years living in Asheville and always missed having a little slice of mountain magic in our lives.

After relocating for work and settling into the fast pace of city life in Charleston, we found ourselves craving something slower. A place to breathe. A place to reconnect. A place where the noise of everyday life could finally fade into the background. Lake Lure became that reset for us. It was where we remembered how good it feels to sip coffee with nowhere to be, spend afternoons on the water, and end the day under the stars instead of staring at a screen.

From the very beginning, we wanted to create a space that felt like a warm hug the moment you arrive. A place where you can soak in the hot tub after a long hike, sweat it out in the sauna, paddle across a quiet cove, or simply sit on the deck and enjoy doing absolutely nothing at all. Because wellness here isn't about perfection.

It's about fresh air, movement, stillness, connection, and the simple joy of being near the water.

And of course, we could never imagine these escapes without our dogs. They're family.

They've joined us on countless adventures over the years, and we believe they deserve a vacation too. That's why we've created pet friendly vacation homes that feel just as welcoming for your furry companions as they do for you. What started as one magical lake retreat has grown into Cove & Coast Collective, a boutique collection of water-inspired stays from Lake Lure to Folly Beach. Each one has its own personality, but they all share the same purpose:
