ADDITIONAL RULES RESERVING GUEST + REGISTERED GUESTS -Reserving guest must be 25 years of age or older to reserve the home and must provide government issued ID. The reserving guest is responsible for communicating all rules to the registered guests. -Reserving guest must provide a list of each guest over the age of 18. These are the registered guests. No unregistered guests without prior approval. BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR We ask that you respect our neighbors privacy by not wandering on their private property NO PERMANENT RESIDENCE Guests agree that use of the property is on a temporary and transient basis only; that guest may not use the property as a permanent residence; and that guest’s permanent residence is and will remain elsewhere than at the property. PROPERTY SURVEILLANCE The property is surveilled. Any tampering with/moving/redirecting/covering/disconnecting WiFi or devices or outdoor cameras or doorbells will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation and you will be required to leave and vacate the premises immediately. Please understand that we do not sit and watch the cameras, but this is our home and investment, and we have these measures in place to protect our home and us. We want to ensure rules are being followed. There are no cameras in any private areas that guests have use of inside the home. There are a few closets in the home that are locked and not available for guests use as they are storage areas. Do not attempt to break in or unlock these doors as the inside area of these locked storage areas have surveillance. Please note by booking this property you waive your option to disable surveillance.

FEES Cleaning Fee: $ 270 Security Deposit: A $500 Security Deposit hold will be placed on your Credit Card 2 days prior to your arrival and will be released within 7 days after your departure as long as no damage was incurred by the guest. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations before 30 days of arrival will receive a refund of monies paid, less a booking fee of $100. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival, late arrival, or early departure receive no refund. If your dates are booked by another party, we will refund the nightly rate that the new guests paid minus any additional booking platform fees . No refund will be provided for nights that we were not able to rebook. All cancellations must be in writing and are irreversible. We highly suggest purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen reasons for cancellation.

Guests have access to paddleboards and kayaks so you can enjoy the lake at your own pace.Is the Hot tub available year around?Yes! The hot tub is available year-round and is one of our favorite places to unwind after a day of exploring. Does the home have Sauna?It does! Blue Moon Cove features a sauna that's perfect for slow mornings, post-hike recovery, or a relaxing evening wellness ritual.Are dogs allowed?Of course! We welcome well-behaved dogs because we know vacations are better when the whole family comes along.Is the deck fenced for dogs?Yes! The gated deck provides a secure space for dogs and children to enjoy the outdoors while you relax nearby.How close is the hiking trails and attractions?Blue Moon Cove is conveniently located near Chimney Rock, hiking trails, waterfalls, local restaurants, breweries, and many of Lake Lure's most popular attractions.How far is Asheville?Asheville is approximately one hour away, making it an easy day trip for shopping, dining, breweries, and exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains.Is the lake available year-round?Yes! Lake Lure is beautiful in every season. Each winter the lake is temporarily lowered for shoreline maintenance, but guests still love the peaceful views, private cove, hot tub, sauna, and outdoor spaces year-round.Can we bring out our own boat?Because Lake Lure is a private lake, guests will need to obtain a permit directly from the Town of Lake Lure if bringing their own boat.Is the cove good for paddleboarding and kayaking?Absolutely. One of our favorite things about Blue Moon Cove is that it's located in a quiet no-wake cove, making it ideal for paddleboarding, kayaking, floating, and enjoying the water safely.Do you offer any local discounts?We do! You are allowed two dogs under 50 lbs each for $125 per dogWhat essentials do you supply?The home is stocked with everything you will need for a comfortable stay, including the following: Linens: All bedding, pillows and towelsKitchen Essentials: We provide a starter supply of trash bags, and dish soap. We also provide all utensils, cooking utensils, knife set, plates, bowls, cups, pots and pans, microwave, gas stove, toaster, gas grill and grilling utensils, and a full-size refrigerator and so much more! There is a Dual coffee maker with a starter supply of coffee beans, coffee filters, tea bags, sugar, and creamer. We also supply salt + pepper, a variety of spices and grilling rubs, and cooking oil. Bathroom Essentials: toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. How far is the grocery store from the house?Ingles is the largest grocery store which provides everything you will need within 12 minutes from the cottage. We also have two smaller markets within 10-15 mins- Highland market and Lured Market Do you allow smoking in the house?There is NO SMOKING or VAPING of any kind inside our house. If we find that you have smoked in the house, there will be a minimum $500 fine charged. What if there is a natural disaster, sickness, inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstance that affects our stay?Although we do everything possible to make your stay as pleasant and carefree as possible, we cannot control or be responsible for the weather or any other unforeseen circumstances or sicknesses that may affect your stay. There are no refunds for natural disasters or other major events that are out of our control. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to cover your stay in case of a natural disaster or other major event. Depending on the type of trip insurance you purchase, you are usually eligible to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the amount that we do not refund. Do I need a 4WD vehicle to access the home?We are in a mountainous area with lots of hills. During the winter months, No 4 wheel drive necessary unless during snow How do you handle snow removal during the winter months?Our road is plowed during snowstorms for easy access out. Should I be concerned about bears or other wildlife during my stay?We are in the mountains, so insects and wildlife are very common! We mostly see friendly animals that will not harm you. Please bring your insect/tick repellent spray, and make sure to keep all trash/garbage in the supplied latched receptacle outside In general, it's always good to be aware of your surroundings while enjoying the beauty of being in nature!
